Ambassadori Island

Ambassadori Island: Batumi’s New Waterfront District on an Artificial Island

Ambassadori Island is a new, emerging waterfront district in Batumi, being developed on artificially created land in the Black Sea. The project includes an artificial island and two peninsulas, where residential, commercial, hospitality, and recreational infrastructure is planned. The concept includes high-rise residential complexes, hotels, public spaces, waterfront promenades, and other urban facilities, creating a new multifunctional part of the city.

Advantages: a direct waterfront location and large-scale master-planned development; a significant part of the territory is designated for recreational and green spaces; the project is planned to include residential, hotel, commercial, and public infrastructure, as well as waterfront promenades. Since the district is being developed largely from scratch, it is designed as a unified modern urban environment rather than a collection of separate, unrelated developments.

What to consider: Ambassadori Island is still at an early stage of development, so a significant part of the planned infrastructure has not yet been completed. Construction will continue for several years, and the district will take shape gradually. When choosing a property, buyers should consider the delivery timeline of the specific project, its construction stage, transport accessibility, and which infrastructure and amenities are already operational rather than only planned.

✅ Who it’s for: buyers interested in modern waterfront property and large-scale new developments; investors with a long-term perspective who are comfortable considering property in an emerging district; and buyers who value proximity to the sea, contemporary architecture, and planned integrated infrastructure. Buyers who need a fully established district with existing schools, shops, and other everyday services should take the area’s current stage of development into account.
